New to the SCA? You’re welcome to come along; please get in touch so we can advise. What does ‘garbed’ mean? An attempt at pre-16th Century clothing is requested. A simple t-tunic, either long/floor length, or shorter over plain trousers, is good first garb.  If you’ve nothing suitable, that’s fine – just wear plain, solid colored clothing (avoiding large modern prints and logos); we may also be able to assist with lending costume items.

Keep it simple – items such as bread, crackers, cheese, olives, and pickles are always welcome. Sweet or savory pies, stews, pasta and soups are popular options. You don’t need to cook a huge amount – typically a few regular serves such as you might make for a home meal; people will sample a little from each dish. Why not be adventurous and try a medieval recipe?
